I enlisted the help of MIP to get fit, healthy and lose weight. I had a bad knee, back pain and had just completed two years of physio for these issues, at the end of which my muscles were weak and lack of mobility meant I was left catching my breath walking up the stairs or carrying groceries.
A 12 week programme and subsequent 6 week programme helped strengthen my knee and back and do away with the pain. I went down two dress sizes and started to enjoy running - and getting good at it. It was the most physically demanding and most rewarding experience. Tamara was with me every step of the way. I was relatively new to exercise, I hadn’t really done any real strenuous exercise since I was in secondary school, well over a decade ago. Due to how unfit I’d become, I was reluctant to try new exercises but Tamara guided me through every step and my fears started to disappear.
Tamara has a positive attitude and aura that ultimately becomes contagious. With every session, I felt my confidence growing, I was getting stronger and no matter how much I complained, she never allowed me to quit. I would leave every session feeling great, even if she had pushed me beyond the limits I’d set for myself.

I had first heard about MIP through my sister and I decided to try a few sessions. At the time I was extremely unfit, to the point where I’d go up a flight of stairs and I would be so out of breath that I would have to sit down. The first few sessions were really hard for me, Tamara pushed me beyond my limits, after a few weeks I started to feel better, I felt stronger, I could now go up stairs or run without feeling as tired!
Although I can be a bit of a drama queen, Tamara was always super patient and attentive! Great eye for detail and always correcting my form if it was wrong. Something that I needed was someone there to motivate me and help me believe in myself and that was Tamara!
